My name is Susan Lye and I am 55 yrs of age and reside in Tauranga, Bay of Plenty, New Zealand. In 2002 on my 50th birthday I felt my life needed to change-I worked 40-60hrs a week, a mother of a young son at home, a housewife and a jack of all trades around the home. So much pressure and stress that, that feeling of charge was urgent, little did I know 3 months later I was diagnosed with cervical cancer, and had no knowledge of cancer and its cause and cure.

So my journey begins, who is around to inform u in what you should do and what you shouldn’t, a video should be automatically given to all patients diagnosed with cancer, to make them aware as to what is about to happen to them eg. Surgery, chemo, radiation etc etc. And give them what choices there are around about diet, herbal medicine & supplements and alternative therapy-but no, I had to learn on the way.

2002-had a radical hysterectomy, 6 weeks of radiation (which I wished I did not go down the road).

2003-back to work on a part time basis until I felt I could cope with full time-had 3 monthly checkups with my specialist and oncologists.

Had appointment with MRI in July 2004 and at work I had this continuous cough-mentioned it to my GP and she ordered a CT scan. In Aug 2004 I had a spec meeting and an MRI report-another unreal moment for me. My spec informed me that the cancer had returned at the top of vagina-and there was immediate talk of my having another extensive surgery to “ensure the circumference of the tumour area meaning 4 surgeons to take away my bladder lower intestines & rectum, my vaginal area and leaving me with 2 bags (which I dreaded immensely).

She gave me an appointment to see spec & surgeons at Auckland National Women’s Hosp who told me what was to be done the following week, my husband & son beside me, asked what would happen if the op didn’t happen-‘I would die’ was the answer.

So a quiet ride home. The next week my GP came around with good & bad news-Good-I did not have to have the op (she could’ve given me a million dollars, I was ecstatic) Bad- I have 5 spots on my lungs-I smacked her on the leg and said I could cope with that. Told to get my home in order and have quality time- again my husband asked what time range-(12 mths).

Well he never went back to work and expected me to leave as well. I felt my job was my life and could not even imagine what I could do without that job. I left the job 3 months later and started to arrange family life and events-large family Xmas get together-trip to Ozzy to see Dave’s folks and a trip to Fiji to see my folks. 2005-my husband had a heart attack-as he could not cope with what was happing to me.

2005-went to a Maori clinic and had liquid medication made from native plants-used leaves as poultice from neck to pelvis-to draw out the bad-also was having a hot rock treatment to treat the tumours in my body-did that for 6 months 3 days a week and the next MRI showed it had stopped its growth, so the next year I thought I could go not so regularly as a buffer-but no. Wrong choice. It came back to 4 different areas in the pelvic area. I have been using liquid zeolite (NCD natural cellular defense) for 10 months now and feel it gives me the extra energy I need and gives me hope. The effects the NCD has given me is that what has to be excreted from the body from what it has pulled up together to throw out-does exactly that- I wear a pad everyday and everyday it is colourful in more ways than one. I shower and have this gel like substance around my urethra area and my pad has this indecent smell-leaving me so conscious of my personal habits.

At this moment in time-I am so fed up with what is going on with me-my right lung is sore and I have had a cough that can be persistent, and it doesn’t let up. But I know that I can’t give up because I want to be still around for my children and grandchildren to come. I have given my dog of 15yrs who had sarcoma of the hips-and his down days I would give him liquid zeolite (NCD natural cellular defense) and notice a great change in him.
